Audit Department Opportunities:

Manager (Audit)Knoxville, TN

Looking For an Experienced, Career Minded Manager for our Audit Department

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build and manage a portfolio of client relationships of varying size and scope, with the ability to operate as their trusted advisor
  • Researching accounting issues
  • Manage client engagements and day-to-day client interaction
  • Directs and supervises Staff and Senior Staff
  • Responsible for audit program approval, personnel scheduling, working papers review, financial statement preparation, and staff training

Qualified candidates must:

  • Be a licensed CPA
  • Possess 4-7 years of experience in audit
  • Experience in financial institution or governmental sectors a plus
  • Have a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, QuickBooks (a plus), Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Have a professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy working with people and understand the importance of nurturing and building the firm’s clientele and personnel
  • Be ethical, conscientious, detail oriented, and well organized

Audit Senior

As an Audit Senior, you are responsible for ensuring value-added services are provided to our clients. You will also work in teams to ensure the various components of the audit are performed – including gathering information from the client, and reviewing and compiling client financial data.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Conduct collaboration sessions and/or discussions with key leaders within the client company.
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting trends or issues
  • Prepare accounting-related reports through a paperless office environment.
  • Provide financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork in an effort to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars as needed
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.

Qualifications:

In the Audit Senior role, you will need excellent communication skills as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of Firm management and staff, clients and other external business contacts.

Specific requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license candidate (a plus).
  • 2-4 years of audit experience.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and experience with accounting software.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Tax Department Opportunities:

Staff Accountant (Tax)
Knoxville, TN

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
  • Researching and responding to notices from taxing authorities
  • Providing exceptional service to clients

Qualified candidates must:

  • Be a licensed CPA or in pursuit of CPA
  • Possess 2+ years of experience doing income tax work for a public accounting firm
  • Have a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Manager (Tax)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage client engagements, day-to-day client interaction/tax advisory skills, and tax compliance responsibilities
  • Directs and supervises Staff and Senior Staff
  • Performs tax planning and preparation for individuals, estates, trusts, and small businesses
  • Ability to research tax issues

Qualified candidates must:

  • Be a licensed CPA
  • Possess 6-10 years of experience in tax
  • Have a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Have a professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy working with people and understand the importance of nurturing and building the firm’s clientele
  • Be ethical, conscientious, detail oriented, and well organized
  • Strong technical expertise and tax knowledge
  • Strong client facing and business development skills
